Blurb

It had to be a joke.

Any minute now, a van would drive up and Ashton Kutcher would slide the door open, laughing hysterically at my melodramatic performance on the front porch.

But nothing happened.

The words on the page jumbled into a toxic mess my brain refused to comprehend, much less accept.

Please consider this letter as a formal request to arrange a paternity test (DNA).

I barely remembered Chelsea Airy.

That wasn’t true—we’d gone out once, and we’d been friends for a while after. But I hadn’t heard so much as a peep from her since I’d gotten married. I’d reached out a handful of times, but she’d quit responding and fell off the face of the earth. There hadn’t been a text, an email, a phone call, not even a Facebook message, much less a stork in the last five years.

My wife could forgive a lot, but she’d never wanted children—much less another woman’s.

This book was....unexpected.

From the blurb, I assumed the H would end up with the baby mama. That wasn't the case. At all.
The beginning of this book was a little slow to me....actually, a lot of this book was slow, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. There was also a lot of stuff in the book that I felt wasn't needed too....like the bar gang and all of that. Especially since apparently they all fell from the face of the earth and weren't heard from again.

What I did like about the book was how much James loved Cora. And how he was so doting to her. Also....Legend. When he came into the book, that's when I started really liking it. Though, I do wish we would have had a chapter with Legend in James'POV. I think that would have been nice to see how fatherhood was for him.

Overall, I did enjoy this book. It's a slow book with more sugar than heat.

Unexpected!! The title was exactly what I got! I have to admit, the beginning of Unexpected Arrivals started off a little slow and too perfect for me, but then I was amazed at how well Stephie Walls changed my opinion! The twists and turns of Cora, James and Chelsea didn't stop until the very end. I found myself with my mouth hanging open to yet another truth bomb that had landed. This is not your typical fluffy romance story! Stephie Walls created a story where not everything is as it seems! Overall, Unexpected Arrivals was an excellent and note-worthy read!
4 Unexpected Stars!!!
